Have you noticed that catwalk outfits can suit one woman and look bad on another? We tell you which trends of the new season should be treated with caution (and how to adjust the most controversial trends for yourself).
When creating a new wardrobe, it is necessary to take into account general fashion trends and trends, but at the same time you need to understand that your individual image becomes successful if your clothes, inner world and lifestyle are in harmony. And this means that some trends may not suit everyone, not only because of the features of the figure, but also according to the internal perception of certain trends. Moreover, sometimes the trends themselves are controversial and contradictory.
The year 2022 is so full of fashionable novelties and a return to the past, bold trends and the preservation of traditions that involuntarily the head is spinning. Some trends make you think especially hard about whether or not it is worth wearing what is fashionable now.
1. Mini skirts
Mini was relevant back in 2021, it is one of the most ambiguous things in the women’s wardrobe, requiring very careful handling. Literally a couple of centimeters — and a beautiful sexy thing becomes vulgar and provocative. Moreover, if we talk about the shortcomings of the figure, which a mini-skirt can emphasize.
Now it is believed that a short skirt is acceptable even in the office. But do not forget that not all of your colleagues can share the love of mini or even be aware of fashion trends. Therefore, before you put on a skirt or dress much higher than the knee, still evaluate their relevance.
2. Cutouts and slits
Designers today give originality to things by adding all kinds of cutouts and cuts to ordinary styles. Moreover, the more unusual the cut-out, the more interesting the image becomes. The cuts became voluminous, asymmetrical and disproportionate and appeared on literally all types of clothing.
The presence of non-standard cutouts makes the image piquant and attractive, but not everyone is ready to wear such clothes. At a young age and with ideal shapes, an open stomach or sides, back and even hips look great. If you have extra pounds and folds— you should seriously think about which cuts are acceptable for you. If you decide to wear a thing with cutouts, make sure that parts of underwear do not get into them.
3. Low waist
Skirts, trousers and jeans with a low waist have come to us again. With a great figure, when the thing sits as if poured in— it looks cool, everyone sees your flat stomach, an ornament in the navel or a tattoo on the sacrum, if any. But such styles visually lengthen the figure, and in combination with flat shoes also shorten the legs. Moreover, in the cold period with a bare back and stomach is not safe at all.
Wear things with a low waist during the warm period. And if you are ready to put on a high heel, you will look stunning (if you do not forget to skillfully pick up and, most importantly, hide the underwear).
4. “Naked” dresses or transparent clothes
The fashion trend has become things made of mesh, which are used as a cape on a denser fabric. Designers offered mesh capes-dresses, shorts, blouses. And on the red carpets of famous film festivals, there were “naked” dresses at all, which, thanks to film stars, will become part of not only evening, but also everyday fashion. If you have the courage to put on transparent clothes and show underwear or lack thereof, go ahead. But don’t forget that red carpets and festivals are a social event that involves photographing movie and TV stars. In everyday life, you should still limit yourself to light translucent things and combine them with oversize jackets or leather jackets.
Today, designers recommend wearing bright sconces even in the cold period, but over shirts, dresses, turtlenecks and bodysuits as an additional accessory. But how to correctly choose a place where your image will not seem strange or at least inappropriate? If you want to try it, start with parties, and if, in modern terms, it “comes” to you and others, repeat it in everyday life.
6. Sneakers with a pointed nose
So we got to the shoes. The controversial model of sneakers, although it is a spectacular trend of the coming year, nevertheless, fits the category of ugly shoes. On the one hand, whatever the style, it’s still sneakers – comfortable. And it’s definitely unique and original. But on the other hand, owners of a wide foot may be uncomfortable in such shoes. And if the roads in your city also leave much to be desired, then you can easily catch on a crack or bump in the asphalt and damage shoes or, even worse, get injured.
