We traced how the beauty image of Her Highness changed from her youth to the present day.
If you decide to compare photos of Kate Middleton taken in different years, you are unlikely to notice serious changes in her appearance — except that the changes caused by growing up. However, the fact remains that over the years Kate has managed to become the standard of beauty for most British women (and not only), and her facial features remain the standard among patients of plastic surgeons.
The debate about whether the Duchess of Cambridge resorted to plastic surgery or not is ongoing to this day, but one thing can be said for sure: if she did it, it was as delicately as possible. How exactly — we figured out together with plastic surgeons Madina Bayramukova and Ekaterina Kudinova.
Until 2011, only age-related changes can be noted in Kate Middleton’s appearance: the teenage plumpness of the cheeks begins to gradually disappear, the features become more pointed and clear. Over time, the Duchess begins to try numerous care procedures aimed at rejuvenation and regeneration at the cellular level. And only after Kate’s marriage, experienced experts in the field of beauty begin to notice significant transformations in her beauty image.
… and 2010
2010-2011: Rhinoplasty, image change and veneers installation
Apparently, the curve of the nose of the future Duchess of Cambridge was corrected even before the solemn wedding with Prince William. The press service of the royal family of Great Britain has never confirmed, but has not denied this information. “If you compare the photos before and after marriage, it becomes obvious: Her Highness’s nose looks noticeably narrower, and the tip is more elegant and neater,” says Madina Bayramukova.
“The specialist treated the slightly upturned shape of Kate’s nose as carefully as possible. It is likely that these changes are the result of high—quality rhinoplasty,” comments Ekaterina Kudinova.
By the time of the wedding, the image of the future duchess also underwent the greatest changes: her skin began to look more well—groomed, her hair — neater “), and the style of clothing – more elegant.
Presumably at the same time, on the advice of image makers, Kate turned to the dentist to install ceramic veneers. With a greater degree of probability, her smile was adjusted taking into account natural irregularities, which is why it looks so natural that it does not cause a fraction of doubt among non-specialists.
“It is clearly visible how the dentition of the upper jaw has been transformed. The back teeth are aligned relative to the front ones, their shape is more accurate, and the position is concise. Of course, the shade of the teeth has also changed: they have become almost snow—white, while the smile has retained its naturalness,” comments the head of the Queen Nella Clinic dental clinic.
Judging by the photo, after the birth of the firstborn (2013) Kate once again sought the help of a plastic surgeon — this time about breast correction. Plastic experts suggest that it was then that Kate had mammoplasty and enlarged her breasts by one size.
“In terms of figure, Kate has good genetics: she has no predisposition to excess weight, — Ekaterina Kudinova comments. — Her type of figure can be attributed to a sporty (rectangle), not distinguished by particularly feminine forms. After the birth of the first child, mammoplasty was done very delicately, breast augmentation is small, fully corresponding to its shape and figure, but if you look closely, it is still noticeable.”

2015-2016: Anti-aging treatments
“The photos of 2015 clearly show that the Duchess began to actively resort to rejuvenation procedures. In later photos, Kate no longer has so many wrinkles, and the skin itself looks more well—groomed,” says Madina. Most likely, she began to inject botulinum toxin in the forehead area and use the capabilities of hardware cosmetology: so, her skin began to look noticeably more well—groomed, and the bags under her eyes almost disappeared – presumably due to regular microcurrent therapy.
“Kate Middleton is a bright representative of the European (fine—wrinkled) type of aging, so she needs to pay more attention to hardware skin care, including laser techniques (CO2 laser resurfacing) and fractional rejuvenation, which are aimed at improving skin quality. Today, not only injections, but also hardware treatment help to fight wrinkles. And by combining both approaches, you can get a really good rejuvenation effect,” comments Ekaterina.
In different photos with Kate, you can also notice that her nasolabial wrinkles, formed at an early age, as well as vertical wrinkles on the cheeks, did not deepen over time and became even less expressive, which indicates a moderate use of fillers — without any significant changes in facial features. At that time, Kate Middleton could give preference to such hardware techniques as ultrasonic SMAS lifting, radio wave therapy, microcurrent therapy against edema.
2016-2018: Breast shape correction
Most experts in the field of plastic surgery agree that Kate resorted to breast correction after the birth of Princess Charlotte. “It is quite difficult to determine the moment when exactly this happened, but it cannot be denied: in the photos of 2018, Her Highness’s breasts look different than in the frames taken years earlier,” Madina says. “And it’s not that she gained weight at all: according to experts, Kate’s figure has become more feminine thanks to a correction for another size.”
“Perhaps, after the birth of the second and third children, Kate also resorted to a breast lift, but this did not affect the size. If it was, it was only for reasons of postpartum correction of the form,” says Ekaterina Kudinova.
Kate’s problems with bags under her eyes appeared quite early — it is quite possible that a hereditary factor played a major role here. If we compare the photos of Kate and her sister Pippa, it is impossible not to notice that the girls do not have very good heredity: the presence of pasty under the eyes is clearly observed in both sisters.

The reason for the bags in this area at a fairly young age is a clear sign of a hernia of the lower eyelid, from which it is impossible to completely get rid of with the help of cosmetic procedures. However, judging by the latest photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, she still managed to do it. “Either she regularly resorts to myostimulation of the periorbital zone, or she ventured to more radical measures and performed transconjunctive lower blepharoplasty,” concludes Ekaterina.
Among the royal ladies, the Duchess of Cambridge is distinguished by a special refinement and naturalness: she looks her age (39 years old), turns to aesthetic medicine as needed, carefully choosing the procedures that should be resorted to. She does not strive for an ideal appearance, does not chase fashionable trends, does not abuse plastics and filers, clearly demonstrating that age-related changes should be treated with dignity and even love. Competent self—care, a minimum of interventions plus a healthy lifestyle – these are the main components of the Duchess of Cambridge’s health and beauty.
