Not all shoes stand the test, and after the first wear, many shoes, boots and boots lose their presentation. We tell you about the five main signals that will save you from buying a low-quality pair.
Shoes are one of the most important elements of a wardrobe. It can not only spoil your appearance, create not the most pleasant impression about you, but also just harm your health. Despite the abundance of brands and shoe stores, the choice of shoes should be approached carefully, do not spare money on it and buy only high-quality products. After all, oddly enough, you will save on expensive shoes. High-quality shoes made of natural materials will last you a long time, while you will change low-quality shoes several times a season. Fashion expert and Fashion TV presenter Daria Sibireva talks about how to choose the right shoes and what gives out a frank marriage.
Needless to say, shoes made of natural materials will always win over shoes made of artificial ones. Therefore, the first sign of not the best quality shoes, of course, is the material. Natural leather is impossible to confuse with something: it is soft to the touch, looks expensive. The foot in shoes made of such material is always comfortable. Eco-leather products are very popular today. By the way, it is also a natural material. It is made of cotton, which is covered with a special layer of polyurethane. Eco-leather is often confused with leatherette, so often unscrupulous sellers give one for the other. Sometimes it is impossible to distinguish them, but there are ways. So, eco-leather heats up from your hands, it is pleasant to the touch, while leatherette is always rough. Also, leatherette usually has an unpleasant smell! Natural should be not only the outside of the shoes, but also the interior trim, then your feet will breathe and will not sweat, which means they will be healthy. And another important fact: if you took a smaller shoe, it will stretch only if it is made of genuine leather. Shoes made of leatherette, unfortunately, will not be able to stretch.
Of course, if you are in a Christian Dior boutique, then there is no doubt about the quality of shoes and their accessories. Even if the shoes are decorated with numerous rhinestones. But if the shoes are not branded, then the rhinestones, most likely, should say about the not very good quality of the shoes. Cheap accessories and jewelry, such as gold-plated buckles, plastic bows and other “sequins”, also go there. If the hardware is not properly attached, then, firstly, you will see traces of glue, and secondly, it will simply fall off, leaving an adhesive stain on your shoes.
When buying shoes, it is important to look at the price. Most likely, too cheap shoes are a Chinese product that takes not quality, but quantity and, accordingly, low price. Therefore, cheap shoes at the height of the season is something that should definitely alert you. Good shoes can’t be too cheap. But there are exceptions, especially during the sales season.
Seams and glue
It is definitely not worth taking shoes if, for example, you see traces of glue near the sole. This suggests that the sole is simply glued to the boot, which means, most likely, it will fall off easily. Look at the seams — they should be smooth, without protruding threads. And oddly enough, they are real. Often unscrupulous shoe manufacturers simply glue the “seams”, then they are just a decorative element, nothing more.
The quality of the insole is also directly related to the quality of the shoes. A good insole is not only made of natural materials, but also stitched. The glued thin insole will eventually come off, it will crumple, deform, and cause discomfort when walking. Also, insoles made of cheap material make your feet sweat, can cause allergies (especially in summer models that are worn on bare feet). Carefully study this detail, touch and feel the insole well, check how tightly they are fixed to the sole, if its composition and quality cause you doubts, then it is better to choose a friend a pair.
Trust, but check
Perhaps you have already chosen your favorite brand of shoes and always buy it there. But what if you want new sensations and you liked a model of another brand? Do not rush to the checkout right away, even if there is a big discount on the shoes that you have looked at. It would not be superfluous to first familiarize yourself with the shoe brand, read its history, philosophy, production technology, as well as reviews of product quality. A big name does not mean good quality.
Don’t “run” after all the fashion trends
Fashion changes at the speed of light. Only yesterday, massive military-style boots were in fashion, and today they have been replaced by a high heel with a platform. When choosing shoes, focus on its convenience, first of all, for you. A girl who does not know how to walk in heels looks comically on an 11-centimeter hairpin, periodically “falling in” one way or the other. In general, it is known that the optimal useful heel height ranges from 18 to 40 mm. But even when choosing hairpins, check the stability of the support, the strength of the heel (it should not be made of plastic or wood in any case!)
Do not chase fashion, it is better to choose universal shoes that will look good with any everyday look.
Special advice – stop wearing sneakers both to the feast and to the world! The “sport chic” style is already losing its relevance. Sports shoes are suitable for sports or outdoor activities.
